UX/UI & Website Design for Non-Profit Brand Platform
Overview & Goals:
Kara Kata is a non-profit society dedicated to promoting Nigerian culture through farming, music, cuisine, and mindfulness. They’ve recently acquired land in BC to build a retreat space. The goal of this project was to design a website that clearly communicates their offerings, invites participation, and supports both community engagement and financial contributions.Team & My Role:
Part of a cross-functional team handling research, planning, wireframing, prototyping, and final UI execution.
My primary contributions were in User Interface Design: crafting layouts, visual hierarchy, and interactive/UX flows.
Ensured clarity and ease-of-use to help users find information, register for events, and make donations.
Key Deliverables:
User research & project planning to define goals and audience needs
Low, mid, and high-fidelity wireframes mapping content structure and navigation
Interactive prototype showcasing UI flows and engagement touch points
Final UI screens & assets optimized for desktop and mobile display

Kara Kata Society
Kara- Kata is a non-profit society that wants to promote Nigerian culture through farming, music, cuisine, and mindfulness activities.
They’ve recently acquired a piece of beautiful land in Mission BC, they wanted us to pay special attention to their future plans for this space that will become a retreat center with multiple activities to relax and get back to basics.
We developed a website with a main goal:
We want people to find us so they can gain information about our offerings and how they can get involved either by attending events and programming or by contributing to our programs financially.
