MICTLAN Website
UX/UI & Branding
For the Mictlán music festival, I led the design and development of a responsive website that captured the essence of Aztec mythology and culture.
The festival, set in Teotihuacan, celebrated indigenous heritage through music and art, and the project required a cohesive visual identity across digital and physical touchpoints.
Key Contributions & Responsibilities:
Concept & Research: Explored the Aztec underworld, Mictlán, to inspire the festival’s theme, symbolizing a journey of transformation and freedom.
Brand Identity & Graphic Design: Developed all logos, typography selection, color palettes, and graphic assets for the festival, ensuring visual consistency across the website, promotional materials, and merchandise.
Website Design & Development: Designed and built a user-friendly, responsive website optimized for desktop and mobile users, emphasizing intuitive navigation and accessibility.
Merchandise & E-commerce Integration: Created festival merchandise designs
User Experience Optimization: Conducted UX planning to ensure visitors could easily access event information, tickets, and merchandise.

Build an engaging and impactful brand campaign that promotes the music festival on the genre of music, location, and target audience selected.
Create a strong visual brand identity and a responsive website creating an engaging, impactful, and well-designed experience for the users and optimized to meet business goals.
Concept: During my research, I encountered a concept that I thought was beautiful and dynamic, Mictlán “Place of the Dead”, this explains how Mexicas (Aztecs) fought their way toward salvation or freeing themselves from their human condition and transition into a spiritual dimension, the road to this enclosure was long and dangerous, it had nine vertical levels, noble and commoners traveled equally, without distinction of rank or wealth.
