Larivo

  • Online Storytelling App Platform for Mental Health

Client: Larivo (Christopher Nsimbe)

Overview & Goals:

Larivo is a platform where users share or listen to mental-health stories, access related resources (articles, events, counseling), and engage with a supportive community.

The aim was to design an intuitive, warm, and trustworthy digital experience that helps users navigate emotional journeys, discover relevant resources, and share stories securely.

Team + My Role:

Worked in a team setting covering user research, wireframing, prototyping, and high-fidelity UI design.

My contributions were especially focused on the UI portion: designing the layout, screens, interactive elements, visual hierarchy, and user flow to enhance clarity and emotional impact.

Also involved in creating wireframes (low-, mid-, high-fidelity), prototyping for test feedback, and collaborating with stakeholders to refine design details.

Key Deliverables:

UI design of storytelling flows, resource discovery, and user profile sections

Low- to high-fidelity wireframes showing progression of layout and interaction refinement

Clickable prototype for testing usability and feedback cycles

Visual design assets formatted for mobile, ensuring readability and performance on different screen sizes

It means to arrive. ar·rive /əˈrīv/

Reach a place at the end of a journey or a stage in a journey.

The journey to better mental health.

Larivo is a safe online storytelling platform where users can tell or listen to mental health stories and incredible journeys to recovery.

In addition to story-telling, Larivo features and recommends curated resources from partners in the community, events, articles, workshops, counseling services, wellness practices, and seminars — relevant to stories a user has listened to.

As people tell their stories on Larivo, they will be very keen to access resources to help them take care of their mental well-being.
